Namkeen Mixture is a popular Indian snack made from a variety of ingredients such as fried lentils, peanuts, chickpeas, and spices. It is usually served as an accompaniment to evening tea or coffee. The ingredients used in the mixture vary from region to region but often gram flour as a common ingredient. Namkeen can also be added in chaats such as bhelpuri or as a topping for a famous street food made from sprouts called as misal. Baked namkeens are also getting popular as they are lower in fat and better for those who are watching their weight.
