Soak the mung dal in water for at least 2 hours.
Drain the water and grind the mung dal to a coarse paste.
Add the cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt to the mung dal paste and mix well.
Add the chopped coriander leaves, onion, tomato and green chilli to the mixture and mix well.
Heat a non-stick pan and spread the mixture evenly on the pan.
Drizzle some oil on top and cook for about 5 minutes on each side.
Serve hot with chutney or pickle.
