Soak the Urad Dal in water for 4-5 hours.
Drain the water and grind the Urad Dal into a coarse paste.
Add the cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chili powder, asafoetida, salt and oil to the paste and mix well.
Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it into a ball.
Flatten the ball and place it on a greased baking tray.
Bake the papad in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
Remove the papad from the oven and let it cool.
