Place the rinsed rice in a medium saucepan and add the water and salt.
Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.
Simmer for 25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and all the water has been absorbed.
Remove the pot from the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for 10 minutes.
