Mulled Wine
Turn the music on, it’s time to sip a glass of wine with full of health benefits, which boosts your immunity, heart, gut, and brain health. The potent antioxidant reservatrol from red wine along with ginger, cinnamon, cloves and star anise’s anti-inflammatory and protective effects. Mesmerise your date with a romantic hale.
Prep Time 15 minutes mins
- 1/2 bottle red wine
- 2-3 Orange slices
- Whole spices – cinnamon, cloves, star anise
- few Ginger slices
- 1-2 tsp Maple syrup/honey
- 1 cup Water
In a saucepan, Boil the spices in water for 5 mins, add orange and ginger slices, red wine and maple syrup and whisk briefly.
Over medium-high heat, cook the wine until it almost approaches a simmer.
Remove and discard the orange slices, cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and ginger with a fine mesh strainer. Taste the mulled wine and add as much extra sweetness as you need.
Warm in heatproof cups and garnish with your preferred toppings.
