Creamy Crunchy Low-Fat Chana Salad Recipe

Caesar salads are delicious, we agree! But, they can get pretty monotonous. Add some variety to your kitchen and your plate with this wholesome low-fat protein packed vegetarian salad!

Ingredients

1/2 cup chana soaked overnight and boiled with salt till soft
1/4 cup radish sliced
1 tbsp green onion or red onion chopped
1/4 cup red, green and yellow pepper chopped
1/4 cup of coriander leaves chopped
1 cup of torn lettuce leaves

Dressing
1 cup of low fat paneer crumbled
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp dahi
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp of mustard sauce
1 clove garlic mashed
1 tbsp honey
salt and pepper to taste.

Method
Process all ingredients for the dressing in a blender till smooth/mix it well. Assemble all ingredients for salad, pour the dressing and mix. Refrigerate for an hour and serve.

Homemade Protein Bar Recipe

Homemade-Protein-Bar-Nutritional-Breakdown

Ingredients
1/2 cup oats powdered
1 cup of dates, pitted and chopped
1 cup of almonds
1 tbsp flax seeds
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp coconut oil(optional)
1 tbsp cocoa powder(optional)
1 tsp cardamom powder
a pinch of sea salt

Method
Powder almonds and all the seeds. Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse for a minute. Remove the dough, mix and roll out on a greased surface into a square shape of 4-5 mm thickness. Cut into rectangles of desired size and store in an airtight container.
