The man of the moment is fighting fit at 50. He works out for 3 hours daily and regularly does 2,000 sit-ups, 1,000 push-ups, and 500 crunches, chin-ups, and pull-ups each session. Salman is also an avid swimmer and bicyclist and pedals up to 10 km every day.

His workout regimen may make you wonder what you are doing with your body!

Monday/Wednesday/Friday

Weight Training

Warms up with jumping, squat thrusts and push-ups

Dead-lifts for leg and back muscles

Bench Press – flat and inclined – for chest and triceps

Shoulder push press

10 -15 reps, 6 sets for large muscles like the chest. 6 to 8 reps, 5 sets for smaller muscles like the arms

Cool down by slow running on treadmill

Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday

Cardio and abs exercises

Running on the treadmill for 15 minutes

Abs circuit with crunches, reverse crunches, back extensions and side planks – 25 times each circuit, 3 circuits with a gap of 5 minutes between each

Push-ups – 1,000

Cardio for an hour

The actor is as disciplined with his diet as he is with his exercise. Breakfast comprises eggs, bread and butter and low-fat milk. For lunch, he usually has 5 chapatis, veggies and salad. Helping others lose weight
